Auditorio Luna

01
Context
Auditorio Luna is a performing arts center conceived as a pure gesture of curvature — a vast undulating canopy of white concrete that rises at either edge like a wave breaking in slow motion. The building's defining gesture is its central opening: a great elliptical void that frames the night sky above the performance hall, connecting audience and performers to the universe above them.
02
Visual Direction
The structure's form is generated by the acoustic demands of the hall within, the white shell acting simultaneously as roof, wall, and resonator. The perimeter of the building dissolves at grade into a public plaza that functions year-round as an open-air gathering space, amphitheater, and market. Art and civic life coexist at Auditorio Luna; the building is never closed.
